After the end of the First World War and to be more precisely from October 1919 Bulgarian West Thrace was occupied and is possession of the countries of the Entente. А new autonomy state called Thrace Interaliee was found. Bulgarian notes with special marks and dry embossed seal on them were used as means of payment in the temporary state Thrace. The banknotes of 1 and 2 leva were sealed with an ordinary seal.
